I'm a wedding videographer and lifestyle photographer based out of Chicago. I capture unique, nostalgic films + stories with heart. I want you to look back on your memories and remember exactly how you felt in that special moment, now captured forever. 

I'm Kayla Myers

It all started when a friend asked me to film her wedding...and the rest is history. 

It's crazy how one question can change the trajectory of your life. After filming my friends wedding day, I recognized my genuine love for weddings and all that comes with it. Shortly after, I went full time into videography in 2019.

I want to get to know my clients as friends. It's important to me that I capture all the special moments, not only between the couple, but also with loved ones sharing in their special day. My deepest passion is planning ways to honor family and friends that have passed on in my couples films. I know first hand the longing of wanting someone who is no longer here to be there. 

My story

I miss my mom so much. I know I’m not alone in missing someone, and knowing she will miss major milestones in my life is heartbreaking. Weddings are such a celebration of a new chapter but also a reflection of all the people that got you to this point in life.

I've had many clients in similar situations to me that have had parents pass before their wedding. It's truly an honor to find ways to incorporate loved ones that have passed in their film. One way I love to do this is through incorporating home footage and photos in their film.

Life is so short, which is often not realized in its fullest capacity until experiencing the loss of a loved one.

My mom had a long battle with cancer until she passed in July of 2021. During her battle, and now after, my want to capture weddings is even more important.

I do this for...

It’s not often that all the people you love are in the same room. I take that to heart. From being a fly on a wall during prep moments, to capturing a mother in awe of her daughter's beauty, to a warm embrace with your grandparents after the ceremony. All these moments matter.

I’ve learned through numerous life events, and growing in my faith with Jesus, that what matters most is memories, moments, and experiences with people you love.

Capturing these moments ... it's my calling.
